I don't agree that the books have a negative image of black people. Low class blacks? That's offensive. Not all black people can be 'high' classed. We all are who we are and what writers write about today is what they know; what they live; and what they see around them. There's nothing wrong with that. Black Expressions, I love your books, all of them that I have read from Terry McMillan to La Jill Hunt; Kimberla Lawson to Shannon Holmes. I can only hope one day that my own work is featured in such a prestigious book club! Contgratulations! I'm a dedicated member and that's not about to change!

Hi Carol,
Congratulations on the award!
We met briefly at Dolce Ciprianni - you were with Wendy W. As I mentioned, I have a product;
www.Hip-Hop-Hippo.com
(I do high end real estate development work).
Perhaps I should have maintained a far cooler exterior, but I knew my time was limited. Denise Richardson (tv news journalist) will attest I am a substantial woman.
To finally get to the point, I'd like to be in contact with you as I have a proposal for your co. (black expressions).....
Hope to hear from you,
Sheryl
