The New York Times Reviews Horror
I was surprised to find a longish round-up of horror novels in the Book Review in my New York Times this morning; usually the Times does its best to ignore the existence of grubby genre fiction. (And the current Book Review editor is on record as wanting that section to concentrate mostly on non-fiction to begin with.)
I wonder if the measured, serious tone and the obvious knowlegde this reviewer has for his field is in any way a response by the Times to the David Itzkoff debacle? (See my personal blog for some of the gory details, though I'll admit I'm biased on the subject.)
