Who They Are and How They Came To Be!

SFBC Staff

Late last month, in a shadowy location on Long Island, a sinister cabal met to plan the domination of all mankind. Meanwhile, down the road, the SFBC team stood around a photo studio for an hour or so getting our picture taken.

So this is us, more or less. (There are other people who work on the club -- including such very important folks as Lauren Lang, who does our Internet marketing, and Edith Cohen, who does the author interviews -- but they couldn't make it to the photoshoot.)

Front row: Julie Altebrando (copyeditor), Shannon Giordano (materials researcher), and Ellen Asher (Editor-in-Chief, Grand High Poobah, and Exalted Queen of All SFF).

Second Row: Tina Palmer (marketing), Theresa Romeo (more marketing), Nicholas Sica (art director), and Mary DeLisio (copywriter).

Back row: Tomaso Milian (head of our creative group), Jay Franco (Altiverse editor), Austen Farrell (Assistant Editor), Andrew Wheeler (Senior Editor and Yr. Humble Correspondent), and Joyce Wiley (Senior Copywriter).

Soon afterward, I got my picture taken solo (as did Jay and Austen), so, if you folks aren't nice, I might inflict my mug on you again, in much closer detail.

Who said you guys had to cross your arms?

Marilee:
That was the "look tough" pose, which we got to after about half an hour of moving around and trying diffferent things. It's the one my art director sent me, so I guess it's the one that came out the best.
