Ellen Kushner on Swords of Riverside

And here’s our last “Author’s Note” from September, Ellen Kushner on our new omnibus Swords of Riverside:

I love to travel.  But I can never decide whether to go somewhere new, or to return to somewhere I know and love so I can experience its pleasures again--especially once I’ve met people there who have become friends.  It’s the same when I travel in made-up places.  For a long time, I planned never to revisit the city I invented for my first novel, Swordspoint.  But I missed those people.  I missed walking the streets of its disreputable Riverside district with them.  So finally I bought my ticket, and here we are, back again, some 20 years later!  It hasn’t changed much—but the ways it has changed are exciting.  You could say the same for me.  Travel is so broadening.
