Wall Street Journal on Robert E. Howard

From the "Of All Places!" Department:

There's an article this morning in the Wall Street Journal about Robert E. Howard, referencing Conan and talking about the centenary event this year in REH's home town of Cross Plains, Texas. It's written by John J. Miller -- now, that's a common name, but I wonder if it's the same John J. Miller who used to write Wild Cards stories?

Ah, no. The existence of conservative pundit John J. Miller has been such a trial to the Wild Cards author John J. Miller that he has recently changed his byline for publishing purposes -- he's now John Jos. Miller, as can be seen here at the Captain Comics forums where he posts in the Wild Cards thread.

He's actually finishing up a new Wild Cards story, for the forthcoming book from Tor, Inside Straight, and apparently is involved in a hush-hush unspecified Wild Cards project as well.

Elio: Thanks -- it seemed unlikely, but I wasn't sure if this was another situation like the two Joel Rosenbergs.

(And the quickest way to find out the truth on the Internet is to confidently assert something that might well be wrong.)
