2006 Cybil Awards Announced

Before I started blogging, I would not have guessed how many different odd and unusual awards there are. Case in point: I've just learned about the Cybils, styled "the Children's and YA Blogger's Literary Awards," via Gwenda Bond's blog.

The 2006 winners have just been announced, and the category of most interest to us is:

Fantasy and Science Fiction: Ptolemy's Gate by Jonathan Stroud

Thanks so much for posting about the Cybils, Andrew! The Fantasy and SF committee within the Cybils team was very excited about Ptolemy's Gate.

Very excited is an *understatement*, actually ! I was thrilled to bits that it made our nominations shortlist, and when I heard the Judging Committee had voted it the winner, I was practically leaping up and down, cheering the news !
