Crichton on YouTube: Amateur vs. professional video

Check out a video book report on Michael Crichton's Prey created by, oh, say, a high school student. Then check out the professional video for Next created by a marketing team.

It seems the student has become the teacher.

Although the student may have done a better video than a marketing department, it's way too long. I didn't make it to the end. The Next video does seem silly, but it's taken out of context. It makes more sense if you watch it from the NEXTgencode web site.

Book trailers ideally should be under a minute because they'll likely end up being shown in bookstores. Isn't the point just getting a book or author's name into a buyers head?
